Causes of current recession Essay Example for Free

Causes of current ecological niche EssayThe Americas prudence has been booming, all along before the fadeout, many questioned has been raised by the experts some even suggesting that, free marketplace as healthful as free ventures faculty take the effects wherever the law had unfavourable implications. The recession was first visualized when, the sub- stretch forthing mortgagees went ahead to evade on their payments since either they had no enough hard currency most likely for the reason that the take range went up or else they were at a risk of begin given a add to low business with otherwise they choose a appalling loan whose rate was not fixed (Rigby 3). Each economist suppose that recessions are scotch issues that cannot be evaded, they can only be managed to control there level of occurrences (Baveja et al 1). This is because, there are periods of high growth in a healthy frugality as well as slow growth and some times no growth. The truth is that, some contracti ng and expanding has to occur for the rescue to be healthy. However, for an prudence to be considered in a recession the period for contracting is required to last for at least for two quarters consecutively in a year or a half a year. It is difficult for many multitude to predict the possibility of occurrence of the next recession. The exact causes of economic recession tend to be a mystery to many people but there are a number of mysteries that give information concerning the causes of economic recession. or so people tend to think that recession is brought by events that are deemed to have a great economic impact in the economy. Some of these events would involve the ontogenesis in interest rates or a decline in the confidence of a consumer. Generally, recession is primarily seen to occur due to the actions that are interpreted when controlling the supply of money in the economy (Stephen et al 3).The above believe comes with different views from different people, for moral, many economists in the United States have believed that economic recession is caused by Federal Reserve. This is because it is the responsibility of the Federal Reserve to take charge in maintaining an i wad balance between money supply, interest rates and inflation in the United States. Rigby (3) advocates that failure of the Federal Reserve to maintain balance in the above areas it will result to the economy losing control. This is a chance that has happened recently in the year 2007. During this year, the Federal Reserve Monetary policy that was used to bring in large amounts of money supply into the market, kept the interest rates below the expected rates but the rising of inflation continued to rise drastically. This problem came together with easy methods of borrowing money that could lead to the crisis of the economy until last year. Most of the economists have believed that America is already in recession and others that the country is heading towards a recession. However, pe ople believe that each recession has its own cause while others believe that recession has only based on one ground. For example, bad investments by business are a hotshot cause of recession in the country. In addition, recessions and depressions such as that of the great Depression are said to be caused by stock market crashes. A sharp increase in crude prices or even going to war are factors that inhibit short term growth in the economy (Harmesh et al 16).It is evident that globalization has changed the nature of business cycle. However, regardless of which theory one would believe in there is no definite answers to the causes of a recession. in that respect is little evidence that recession is brought up by a number of factors. This means that there are many events that take place that result to recession. An example for numerous factor theories is the recession that had taken place after the prices of oil increased dramatically in the 1970s (Stephen et al 3).This helps in set ting sour a recession since the prices set off a big economy decline in oil demand. This was because real income had been reduced due to higher cost of the imports of oil. In addition, there was more tight monetary policy that dampened the inflationary pressures which came after the increase of prices. These factors brought down the overall demand that in turn conduct to a recession.Currently, in America, affirms are scared of giving loans to customers. The reason for this is that, the banks are terrified that giving out loans will lead to loosing the money and defaulting if loans. There is the creation of credit crunch that has caused money to be real tight and this is reservation many banks such as the Lehman brothers to go bankrupt. Another bank known as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were bailout for the purpose of keeping it from standing bottom. This has led to the current loss of money by the stock market because of the major credit crunch that is making investors nervous th at a major recession is on the way. A recession is considered to be the goods and services that are down from the previous two quarters or more (Baveja et al 1).The recession being experienced in America has to the number of taxpayers buying out all the dead mortgages to approximate 700 billion. This is a press that the banks will start once more lending money freely to people. However, currently loans are still given out although at a overmuch higher rate. According to Rigby (6) in order to make more money available and flow freely, central banks across the whole world are slap-up the rates if giving loans. To add on this, the effect of crisis in many industries is great due to the consideration of banks as the major capitalist society. This leads to difficult to loan money since it becomes change magnitudely tight in the borrowing market. Hence less homes are bought as well as cars and even small businesses are touch in the sense that they cannot do payroll. Small businesses s pend a lot of time in taking temporary small loans until they are paid for the harvest or service. In early 2000, there existed a deregulation that caught up greedy banks and the ways in which they were handling out credit and loans to people who cannot pass them and then leading to financial meltdown. The rise of inflation rates that creped very fast led to difficulties for people in paying back loans and credit hence creating a slow meltdown effect. America is considered to be the largest worlds economy and its economy has been seen to be weak and its drifting as a result of a collapse of the housing market. There is also the problem of sub prime mortgage turmoil, a severe credit crunch, high oil prices and the deep devaluation of the dollar (Baveja et al 1).Possible solutions in eradicating economic recessionPeople can be disappointed in the fact that there is no cure for economic recession. However, some people argue that fiscal and monetary stimulus should shorten the downtur n but patience is engageed for it to happen. There is need for changing the legal framework governing the versatile aspects of economy. It is important for people in the country to be well versed with corporation and banking as well as economics to enhance education among people affected by the results of recession. Learning on the above areas makes people more educated, smart and qualified to deal with economic recession (Stephen et al 3).Recently during the Obama week, there was the introduction of the rescue gains team. In this team there are seven people known as the fixers who are in charge of rescuing the economy. In order to rescue, the teams takes into consideration various issues. During the tenth week of Obama administration, the treasury secretary Tim Geithner unveiled the next phase of the bank bailout (Baveja et al 1).A plan for overhauling regulation of the financial system was outlined by the government. The administration effort is determined to produce economic co nditions that are stable. This has helped in improving the sentiment on Wall Street where stocks posted gains for the week.In Capitol Hill, the committees involved in the house and the senate largely supported the Obama plan for 2010 with positive caution. It has been a long debate in the American country to take issues concerning the solution to economic recession. The administration is also concerned with the prevention of future meltdowns through increasing the supervision of the financial markets and prevention of companies from growing too big posing the possibility of failing. The need for investing highly in health care, education and sinew was also one of the long term agendas mentioned by the president for the purpose of fighting economic recession in the countryThe issue of drawing a budget proposal that cannot be separated from the broader themes of economic recovery and future growth was addressed. This budget is referred as laying foundation for a secure and changeles s prosperity for economy. My opinion on the best way of dealing with economic recessionThere is need for changing the legal framework governing the various aspects of economy. It is important for people in the country to be well versed with corporation and banking as well as economics to enhance education among people affected by the results of recession. Learning on the above areas makes people more educated, smart and qualified to deal with economic recession (Harmesh et al 16).Work cited.Baveja trace Sarabijr, Ellis Steve, Rigby K. The image of fish Essay Example for Free

The image of fish EssayKevin Roberts uses the image of fish in both his poems Skating mint Trout and A Fish Too Big to explore existential anguish in the point of view of the water creatures. In both poems, the fishes were presented as vivacious in some kind of prison the trout in Skating mastered was walled beneath ice, while the Arwanna at A Fish Too Big could hardly move inside the enclosed aquarium. Although Roberts used fishes in both poems, he evoked different speculations about life drawing from the reactions of the fishes to their situations. In the first poem, the verifiable reality was that the trout were living beneath the ice, and were safe against hunters who wish to make them dinner. The trout do non know that the ice functions like a shield to protect them from danger. D take at that place, nonhing can touch them as long as the ice stands between the shadows and danger (lines 13-18). But the trout are easily scared, and their fears get the better of them impelled by forms only the fish makes substance until in panic at the hiss and whirof the steel blades it runs defeats itself they end up driving the nails to their own coffin, prized consume to the hunters. If only the trout had more faith in their own environment where they had managed to survive for so long, then perhaps they would still be alive. They created their own deaths by better-looking in to their fears. On the other hand, the Arwanna in A Fish Too Big is opposite. The Arwanna was depicted as too big for its aquarium that it has no path to move anymore, a prisoner behind glass. The Arwanna The Arwanna could easily leap out or break its aquarium if it wanted to because of its sheer size, but the Arwanna accepts it fate and stay calm. If it chooses to move about and free itself from its cage, then the Arwanna will undoubtedly die. And so the Arwanna chooses to stay still, as the Thais say in lines 31-32 what can you do / without fate feel luck. It seems that the A rwanna has indeed accepted its situation, and have presumption up. What it needed was fate, or chance, or luck, to be able to get out of the situation. It sends an indirect statement saying that there is very little we can do about what happens to us that in the end, death is a looming inevitability, and what one can do is live the life given to it before death comes knocking at ones door. The last three lines And what can the fish or I do / about our own shrinking / glass cage of flesh? sums up the existential anguish the speaker is experiencing. The speaker was watching the Arwanna the whole time but was subconsciously relating himself to the fish, conclusion himself trapped with nowhere to go and nothing to do but wait for impending death stuck in his situation. However, there is a sense of peace as compared to the first poem. For in the first poem, the trout faced no real danger but because of its restlessness and fear ended up dead. But its fear is not without reason they were being hunted. In contrast, although there was no aggressive hunter about to kill the Arwanna, the fish faced a terrible situation it was caged and could not move, but if it tried to it will face death outside its prison. The main difference between the two was that the Arwanna has accepted its life and lived a life of calm, whereas the trout lived a life of fear. Roberts used the image of fish in both his poems, but he to different effects. The trout lived in an environment where they were hunted, but could easily escape its hunters by staying deep in the water. The Arwanna had no choice but to breathe inside its cell, or choose death. Even so, the trout who had more freedom than the Arwanna dived in to its demise because of its recklessness, because it let fear consume it.

Differential Pulse Voltammetry

derived function urge VoltammetryIntroductionIn this era of globalization, scientist had discovered various mode of compendium. One of the rules of analysis is known as electrochemical method of analysis. electrochemical method of analysis consists of coulometry, voltammetry and potentiometry. (Harvey, 2000) Coulometry is a method of analysis either with fixed current or constant current. Coulometry is also known as amperometry. In amperometry, current passes through a polarisable electrode. The current that passes through the cell is taperly proportional to concentration of ion species that present in the electrochemical cell. Whereby, petentiometry is a method of analysis with zero or negligible current and the potence of the cell serve as a signal. During the process of recording for current change a graph of electrode potential versus snip is being plot. These graphs could be categorized into two which is polarograhy and voltammetry. The different between polarography and voltammetry is that polarography used dropping mercury electrode and voltammetry used a real metal electrode or other types of electrode. However in this assignment voltammetry will be discussed.Voltammetry is taken from the original word of volt. The prefix volt means standard involving potential. (Monk, 2001) Voltammetry can also be further divided into flash voltammetry, squ atomic number 18 wave voltammetry, Stripping voltammetry, thin layer voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry and differential split second voltammetry. However, the root word of the assignment differential measure voltammetry.differential gear Pulse VoltammetryThere is various technique of voltammetry present nowadays. For the topics to be discuss here is differential pulse voltammetry. The plat below shows the graph of differential pulse voltammetry. It is being name differential pulse volatmmetry is because 2 current is being measured. Unlike on normal pulse voltammetry the current is being measured at a short t ime intervals and its stop after the current is dropped. In differential pulse voltammetry, 2 try on is being masured. When the 1st sample is added into the system the potential increased. As fast as the sample stop the second sample is added into the system result in decreasing in current. The different of the current is being measured. It was because of the different in current is being measured it is name as differential pulse voltammetry. (Monk,2001)Differential pulse voltammetry is a beneficiary technique. It enable detection up to nanoscale to be done.(Girault,2004) It was because it uses a method of differentiation when there is a different even at a low current it could be observed. However, in classical method or normal pulse voltammetry it does not enable us to do so. It was because of the diminutive scale of different could be observed it is very sensitive. (Skoog, 2006)Importance of Differential Pulse Voltammetry DPV usage is very important in examining the pH dependen ce of oxidation-reduction potential for a electron and proton transfer in tryptophan and tyrosine. The pH dependence is used to calculate the G values for different reaction pathways and olibanum determine that the mechanism can be a one step or two step depending on several factor. DPV is also Important in examining quantized double layer charging of hexanethiolate coated monolayer protected Aurum clusters. It provides necessary resolving power, by suppressing mount currents s to separate out all 13 peaks related to to Aurum clusters core charging. This helps to make the tough peaks to become visible. This highlights the power of DPV.Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) is also important in the decisiveness of Dapsone is 4,4-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) in drug substance and overlap at carbon paste electrode and a glassy carbon electrode. Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) is also important in the determination of ascorbic acid, pyridoxine and folic acid in a multivitamin supply. The individual vitamins all gave well-defined peaks in the anodic region with a linear response of peak current to concentration. The DPV method was ensnare to be generally applicable to the determination of the vitamins in several multivitamin preparations, or, in simplified form, to the determination of the individual vitamin preparations.Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), important for the determination of pharmaceuticals, dyes, insecticides and pesticides. In general, this methods offer high sensitivity, low limit of determination, easy operation, and the use of simple instrumentation. DPV also important for the quantization of phenols.Difference and Similarity of Differential Pulse Voltammetry and Normal Pulse VoltammetryThe service and Disadvantage of Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV)Advantage of Differential Pulse VoltammetryDifferential pulse voltammetry can distinguish faradaic waves better from the background due to the larger 2nd derivative of the current/ potential relation for faradaic processescompared to the normal pulse technique. Besides that, since the modulation amplitude of differential pulse voltammetry is constant, capacitive current will be expressed as a more or less constant baseline. Electro -oxidizable and -reducible substances on the other hand, will appear as recognizable peaks. The detection limits of 10-8M are possible, though one should be aware of the increasing probability to encounter irreversible phenomena. The latter can be discover by a raise of the voltammetric peak to more negative (reduction) or positive (oxidation) potentials and by the lowering of the peak with decreasing modulation time(User manual for, 2001).The primary(prenominal) advantage over direct current (DC) polarography that differential pulse polarography (DPP) shares with other pulse methods is that there is little double layer charging contribution to the overall response, which allows the doing o f a lower detection limit. An advantag e that DPP has over both DC polarography and other pulse methods is that due to the differential measurement sequence, the outfit of this technique takes the form o f a symmetrical peak, which is more useful from an analytical perspective(OGorman, 1998). Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) is a selective and sensitive technique, where the potential is changing linearly with the time (potential linear sweep) superimposed by the potential pulses of the amplitude between 10 and 100 mV for several milliseconds (Jiri Sochor, Jiri Dobes Olga Krystofova, 2013).Next, by victimization differential pulse voltammetry at stationary electrodes, excellent results can be obtained provided that oxidation and reduction are soluble, or with a mercury electrode if the resulting metal (if any) amalgamates the voltammetric method can often be more rapid than the corresponding polarographic mode with its dependence on the drop time, provided that the delay time between pulses is not less than twice the pulse width (to avoid transient noise disturbances) and that the scan rate is not too fast ( to limit dc distortion) (E.A.M.F.Dahmen, 1986).The Advantage and Disadvantage of Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV)Advantage of Differential Pulse VoltammetryyDifferential pulse voltammetry can distinguish faradaic waves better from the background due to the larger 2nd derivative of the current/potential relation for faradaic processescompared to the normal pulse technique. An Overview Of The Book Of Ruth Theology Religion Essay

An Overview Of The circulate Of Ruth Theology Religion EssayThe record is full of inspirational concepts and full of revelatory truth. While the overage Testament points to Jesus of New Testament, it also contains basic doctrines that are established in the New Testament. Hence, haggling mootle liberality, faithfulness and charit adequate to(p)ness expect their root in the Hebrew Bible. Hesed is an interesting and fascinating Hebrew word that has a wide range of meaning. The go for to make it makes one to learn a great deal ab step forward the characters and attributes of beau ideal as it relates to His kindness, faithfulness, goodness, lenience and steadfast love. Hesed was explicitly expressed in the Bible, most especially in the Old Testament. beau ideal revealed Himself to His chosen nation (Israel) through His personal attributes and characters (Jenkins,20111).No discussion of hesed would be complete without mentioning its role in the interactions of Naomi, her Moabite daughter-in-law Ruth, and the redeemer Boaz. It is on this fact that this opus answers the pursual questions What does the concept of hesed entails? What is the general overview of the keep back of Ruth? How is hesed described in the al subaltern of Ruth? And what implications do hesed present to the Nigerian Christians? This paper therefore intends to discuss how hesed was embraced and expressed in the Book of Ruth.THE CONCEPTS OF HESEDThere is a beautiful and rich word in the Hebrew language that power richly describes the faithfulness, mercy, steadfastness and loving-kindness of the Lord. This Hebrew word is transliterated into English as hesed (Maxey, 20121). Hesed (pronounced khesed) is non just a Hebrew word to be translated by exegete as simply loving-kindness or mercy , it is in fact an attribute of God. The hesed of God is a divine characteristic and is at the center of why God acts as He does in original space and time. (Belnap,2009,1)Hesed as Jenkins(2011) asserted stinker be divided into the following three categories family relationships, relational and religious (1). He went further to describe its occurrences in the Bible in the following wordsHesed occurs in the family relationships categories seven times in the Old Testament, six times in Genesis, once in 1samuel and once in Ruth. Hesed occurs in nine times in a relational way in the Old Testament- once in Ruth, once in Psalms, once in Esther, once in Daniel, twice in Ezra, once in Job, once Psalms and once Zechariah. Hesed used in a religious category involves twoscore times in the Old Testament- four timed in Genesis, once in Exodus and Deuteronomy two times in 2nd Samuel, fifteen times in Psalms. Once in 1Kings, once in 2nd Chronicles, once in Job, three times in Isaiah, once in Jeremiah, and once in Ruth. (2)The Bible also reveals that hesed is an attribute that children of God possess and they are commanded by God to emulate and develop it. Being made in God image, Gods spate can emulate the divine attribute of hesed. While the idea of loving-kindness and mercy may promisem to be only that of positive emotion, it will be exhibit that Gods loving-kindness is a two-edged sword. Hesed can also mean a mechanism of judgment and accountability before God. People can be described as having the portray of hesed or having no hesed, or no loving-kindness. Hesed is both a Hebrew word and more importantly a Jewish theological concept. Hesed is ensnare infer 250 times in the Hebrew Bible, with about125 appearances in the Psalms alone. And while the word is not identified specifically as hesed in the Greek New Testament, the Old Testament concept of loving-kindness, mercy and selfless giving can be say to be the very heart of the New Testamnt Gospel. For God so love the world that He gave (Jn 316) (Emilio, 20124).AN OVERVIEW OF THE BOOK OF RUTHThe Book of Ruth is named after one of the main characters in the story. There are two books in the Bible that be ar the name of a woman. These books are Ruth and Esther. While Ruth was Moabites, Esther on the other hand was a Jewess. The Book of Ruth has the records of a Gentile woman who came to live among the batch of Israel and became the great-grandmother of David, Isreal greatest king while in the Book of Esther an Israelite woman was taking into the court of the Gentile king and became a queen who secured deliverance for her great deal (Cowle, 2008 22). Also, Tiessen in his write up portrays the book of Ruth as one of the most fountainhead-crafted pieces of literature in the Old Testament. He submits thatDespite its lesser status within the Jewish canon and the Christian Bible, the narrative of Ruth is well known. This popular familiarity is largely due to the engaging and contend story the book offers The tosh of two women who overcome several formidable obstacles and succeed in preserving themselves and the family line, which eventually leads to the great King David (Tiessen,20101) The name of Ruth is mentioned xii times in this book which bears her name (Heijkoop, 19897). The meaning of this name is friendship. This meaning according to Harlow (1987) reflected in the relationship of Ruth with her mother in-law (Naomi), and other lot that came along her way. Even though she was a oddish in a strange land she blended well with the people because being friendly was straggle of her (5).This book of Ruth is in connection with the geneology of Jesus Christ as recorded in (Matt 1.5). Heijkoop (1989) also asserted that, The book itself beautifully illustrates how the Holy constitution gathers up family circumstances in a manner which quite naturally educates the mind and thoughts to a very important truth(7). This special story in the Book of Ruth draws ones attention to the most precious titles of the Lord Jesus Christ. The word kinsman as used here could be translated as Redeemer or Avenger. This infinitesimal book of only four chapters has drawn tributes fr om very many, and it has even been described as the Perfect Story. It is told simply and directly. Cundall and Morris (1968) in their own assertions described this book in the following wordsThe book is a book about friendship. The devotion that Ruth shows to Naomi and the mete out that Naomi exercises towards Ruth run through the book. It is simple a tale of friendship. The three principal characters of the book are depicted as being mindful of their obligations to the family. Ruth does not forget her duty to Naomi, and consequently to Elimelech, Naomi seeks out a marriage that will preserve the name of her deceased husband while Boaz marries the Moabites to raise up the name of the bloodless (241).It is better to see the book as a tale told because it is true and because it shows something of the relationship between God and man. The book of Ruth raises the question of whether or not Yahweh can be trusted. The incident suggests to Naomi that God had abandoned her or He is no mor e reliable. The author of the is unknown, but the last verse of chapter 4 points to the fact that it was written during the time of king David because the is where the cite of Ruth descendants ends. (Harlow,1987 6). The story according to Reid (2000), is told from a female point of view and certainly seems to commend Naomi and Ruth to believers (25).HESED IN THE BOOK OF RUTHThe book of Ruth revolves around the concept of hesed. Hesed is an mobile concept and it is considered as an essential part of the nature of God. The word is frequently used to describe the gracious and merciful practices of God (Farmer, 1991 96). Human beings, as said earlier are also expected to show hesed to one another. The Book of Ruth is about a stranger who had probably not encountered God personally but might give birth been hearing her mother in-law talked about that God. This gentile woman acted as an instrument of Gods hesed when she showed hesed to Naomi. When Naomi thought that every hope was gon e, this non- Israelite woman that brought hope by showing kindness to her mother in-law. In accordance with this, Farmer assertedRuths speech in 116-17constitutes an act of hesed. By committing herself and her future to the Lord, Ruth commences the means through which God will transform Naomis emptiness into fulfillment. The Lord will be able to work through the loving-kindness of Ruth to change a crises situation into an occasion for hope. The Book of Ruth is a special book Christians should study and ponder well upon. It has an unhappy beginning, an uncertain middle and a happy ending. The tragedy that befell Naomi made her to forget that YHWH is still in control and that He can still convey redemption. This reflected in her statement8 Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, Go hold up, each of you, to your mothers home. May the Lord show kindness to you, as you have shown to your dead and to me. 9 May the Lord grant that each of you will find rest in the home of another hu sband. Then she kissed them and they wept aloud 10 and said to her, We will go back with you to your people. But Naomi said, Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? 12 Return home, my daughters I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons- 13 would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lords hand has gone out against me 14 At this they wept again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-by, but Ruth clung to her. 15 Look, said Naomi, your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her. ( Ruth8-15) NIVNaomi tried to induce the women to go back home She even reminded them of their mothers house. She knew the weak spot of Moabites female. The existence of Moab was the result of willful ness of the part of Moabs first mother, who at all costs had to have a relationship with a man and have children. (Gen 1930-38) And the daughters of Moab had manifested the same willfulness (Heijkoop 31-33). Naomi directly blames YHWH for the tragic circumstances of her life. Believing that everything came from God. Her situation can be related to that of Job. Job accepted the misfortune that came upon him is from God. He said Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me. Why do you pursue me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh? (Job 1921-22). NIVBruggeman, quoted by Tiessen explained the thoughts of job in relation to that of Naomi in these wordsJob asks Is God reliable? And Job, in his rage, entertains the option that Yahweh is not. Naomi, like Job, is in the throes of tragedy and likewise expresses and entertains the option that Yahweh is not reliable. Notice that in 113b Naomi asserts that the hand of Yahweh is against her, and thus sh e excludes her daughters-in-law who also have experienced profound loss through the deaths of their husbands (4).Naomi also pointed to her lonely position. A life without a husband and no children who would give her hope. All was Gods fault. Not only did Naomi try to keep her daughters-in-laws from joining her by depriving them of any hope of help, but she had also given them a total untrue picture of God, who actually is the husband to the widows and helper to the strangers. She indicated that God was responsible for all her misfortune, instead of admitting that she had brought those things upon herself by leaving God and His appointed place where they would have blessings (Heijkoop,36). She and her perfect family chose to go to Moab neglected the place where they would have had the experience of Gods hesed as the Psalmist expressed Behold, the Lords eye is upon those who fear Him who revere and worship Him with awe, who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness,To d eliver them from death and keep them alive in famine (Ps 3318-19).Naomis great effort to dissuade her daughters-in-law from accompany her seems strange, especially in view of her desire that they become true children of the Lord God of Israel. However, it seemed to be the only course she could take in view of her dire circumstances (Parker, 1980144). While Orpah yielded to the advice of her mother in-law, went back to her own people and gods. Ruth clave to her, And Ruth said, Urge me not to leave you or to turn back from following you for where you go I will go, and where you hunting lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts me from you (116-17).The strong desire of Ruth to go with Naomi symbolized her commitment to her and her God. Ruth was neither obliged for expected to become her mother-in-laws source of support. But once they were back in Bethlehem she was the one who went into the fields to glean the bits of grain that the harvests missed. Ruth indeed was a good daughter in-law. Her kindness was a total self sacrifice. She took the initiative in providing for their needs by suggesting that Naomi let her glean ear of corn. Gleaning, according to Parker (147) was a special provision of God written into the law to provide for the poor, especially for strangers, widows, and orphans (Lev. 199-10 2322 Deut.2419). The practice required that owners should leave at harvest the corners of their fields and the droppings of the harvesters to care for the unfortunate groups of people. The attitude of Ruth towards Naomi by volunteering herself to take care of her is an expression of hesed which actually belongs to YHWH. One would wonder how a gentile could display the attributes that Gods children should possess. Emilio responded in the following wordsHow then did Ruth, a Moabitess, come by this divine trait which was ori ginally given by God to the descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? The answer to this mystery is not found in the Holy Bible. However the Talmudic explanation is of value and interest because it helps clarify the theology of hesed which is found in both the OT and NT. Simply put, the Sages held that Ruth was a direct descendent of Abraham by way of Lot. They teach that Ruth was the daughter of Eglon and the granddaughter of Balak who were direct descendents of Moab the son of Lot and nephew of Abraham. Thus Ruth was an inheritor of the seed of lovingkindness which Abraham planted in Lot (Emilio, 2012)The hesed that Ruth showed to Naomi made it possible for her to meet her redeemer. Ruth met Boaz and received unexpected praise and favour.11And Boaz said to her, I have been made fully aware of all you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and mother and the land of your birth and have come to a people unknown to you befo re. 12The Lord recompense you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under Whose wings you have come to take refuge 13Then she said, permit me find favor in your sight, my lord. For you have comforted me and have spoken to the heart of your maidservant, though I am not as one of your maidservants. 14And at mealtime Boaz said to her, Come here and eat of the bread and dip your morsel in the sour wine mixed with oil. And she sat beside the reapers and he passed her some parched grain, and she ate until she was satisfied and she had some left for Naomi. 15And when she got up to glean, Boaz ordered his young men, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. Ruth 211-15The writer of this paper has discovered that Ruth and Boaz are like-minded people. The similarities between them are emphasized. Reid (2000), enumerates their similarities as follows Boaz praised Ruth for her kindness to Naomi (Ruth 211-12) and Ruth praised Boaz for his generous kindness to her (Verses 10, 13). As Boaz enters the field, he pronounced a kindly phrase, The Lord be with you(verse 4). This suggests that Boaz is such a leader who values and respected his employees. The workers respond, The Lord bless you Boaz is clearly a good, kind man who is suitable for good, kind Ruth (41).Studying this Book one will discover that God is at work even in the lives of his people. Ruths story reveals loud and clear that through the ordinary and unpredictable aspects of commonplace life, one experience the reality of Gods care (Reid, 200025-28).IMPLICATIONS OF HESED FOR NIGERIAN CHRISTIANSHesed in the book of Ruth is significant to the Nigerian Christians. It expresses how good and faithful YHWH is to His promises. He remembered Naomi in her low estate (Psalm 136 23), even though she and her family brought the tragedy upon themselves. Many Nigerians Christians today run to Oversee countries because of the economical situation of their fa ther land. Some of them are lost not remembering home again. The writer of this paper is of the opinion that there is still hope for Nigeria. The situation can still be better than what it is, if only Nigerian Christians can hope in God and trust Him absolutely.Similarly, hesed in the Book of Ruth stresses both family and community loyalty. Naomi thought first of the benefit of her daughters-in-law. She always acted with their opera hat interest in mind. Boaz was noble. Ruth was loyal. Kent, (1980) submits that the simple narrative also amply illustrates the Lords providential care. God is clearly at work in the lives of those open to Him (143). Nigerian Christians are to commit to one another so as to be of help to one another in terms of needs an adage says a friend in need is a friend indeedAlso, as God expressed hesed (mercy) to His people, He expects them to reciprocate. God was ever faithful and devoted to His people (Israel) in the ancient time and He is still the same God of the contemporary times. In like manner does He expect faithfulness, total loyalty and devotional life from the Nigerian Christians. The Christian leaders are expected to be faithful and dedicated to the position they are holding. They should be mindful of the welfare of their followers. As God is good and loyal to His promises, Boaz was good and kind to his followers so the Nigerian Christians should be good and loyal to one another. Also, Nigerian Christians should see God as a God of love and should demonstrate that love into their personal lives and ministries towards others. By doing this, Christians will be able to demonstrate to the world in words and deeds that their lives are grounded in the character of God who loves and desires to redeem the world through the person and work of Jesus Christ.Furthermore, it is worth noting that God can use anybody, no matter how rough the background may be. Willingness and readiness is what He desires. In like manner, Christians should pay sacrifice of taking other peoples line upon themselves. They should be mindful of poor and the needy around them.CONCLUSIONHesed, is indeed a word denoting emotion but it is more a word of action. On the other hand, hesed is a gift from God, that is to say, God imparts a measure of His loving kindness to His children. And He expects all His children to express it to one another. Hesed, as used in this paper reveals the characters of three major people, Naomi, Ruth and Boaz. Many in this world have experienced the tragedy of Naomi and long for God to be present and active amidst situations where He does not always act in the way human beings expect. But absolute trust in Him will end in a happy way.

Marketing Mix And Promotion Mix

Marketing Mix And Promotion MixEthics collapse been an important aspect of business activities across the world for a long time. Ethical considerations atomic number 18 always in inseparable elements of business activities, thus advertise great dealnot be ignored. So we set up say that ethics play quite an important role in advertising. Some of the ethics in advertising argonThere should be no offence to the generally accepted norms of decency.Claims and representations should be true and honest. There should not be c areless use of advertising products which are harmful either to individuals or society. The principle of fair competition should be respected in case of comparative advertising. The dignity of the human person should be maintained.Manipulative techniques should not be used, that means those techniques that play on a customer emotions etc.Ethical considerations are different from legal considerations. Legal considerations are enforced by law, alone in case of honou rable considerations they can or cannot be enforced by law. Ethical consideration have more than to do with responsibility of a person towards the society, while legal considerations are something that has been written, approved and then enforced by the Government. Different companies have different ethical considerations towards a particular product or services, but legal considerations will always remain same as the opposite will be against the law. If we realize the case of cigarette advertisement, the writing which says that cigarette is injurious to health is legal consideration they cannot sell it without that phrase. The non use of vulgarity or obscenity can be seen as an ethical consideration more than a legal consideration. discourse is quite important in business. Ineffective communication causes a huge list of damage to the company. There are a lot of barriers to communication, which stops the message being transferred. So to ensure that the messages are not impeded ba rriers to communication should be taken to consideration. So barriers to marketing communication campaign areVariation in tone or style If the marketing communication being cosy or friendly or if the letters written in the message is threatening, can be a barrier to marketing communication.Noise Noise can be a barrier as it can cause disturbance and may lead to confusion. For mannikin when talking to a customer faults in scream line causing some noises could cause disturbances.Differing perceptions We know that each person is different, so passel can take things differently, so a message should always be loud and clear. For illustration let us consider the advertisement of green tea, if the message that it is green tea is not mentioned loud and clear slew could think it as normal tea.Language Most misunderstandings can happen due to the difference in spoken interpretation. As we know language is close to important for communication. For example the usage of jargon can often d istort a message, it is not necessary everyone understands it.Lengthy message If the messages are long population may tend to not to read or hear it fully and the message may not be conveyed in the right way. For example the TV advertisements are mostly about 30 seconds to 45 seconds, if it is more than that most people tend to get annoyed and would not listen to carefully.Prejudices Some people tend to hear what they tend to hear but not what is said, so it may create false assumptions.Overload Too much information in the messages can cause problems and the targeted audience may get confused. For example the TV ads regarding toothpastes in which it says the ingredients of the toothpaste, if the names of all ingredients are said people would get confused. discrimination If the messages received are conflicting or inconsistent people tends to ignore them. For example the ad regarding scoop, in the ad the company claims some effects of the soap and if anyone who had used it before n ever got the result would tend to believe the message is false.Channel barrier If the channel used to send the message is not victorian the message may not be received. For example the advertisement have video scenes can only be communicated via TV or internet but not through newspaper.Physical distractions For example if the message is communicated through E-mail and there are spelling or grammar mistakes, the person who receives it wont be able to concentrate on the message.Electronic Medias have always played an important role in communication. The evolutions of technology have made communication uttermost easier. The electronic media includes Television, Radio, Telephone, Computers, Internet, Fax, DVD, CD-ROMs etc. As we know there are advantages and disadvantages for everything. The advantages of electronic media in todays communication campaign areMessages can be communicated quickly. For example an E-mail can be sent quickly to people.Messages can be communicated at a time t o a large number of people. For example an ad on television is seen by a lot of people at the same time.Distance is no longer a problem. For example a message can be communicated to a person at a far distance through telephone, e-mail etc.Audio, video and text can be used in the same medium. For example take the case of advertisements on television, in an ad there is video, audio and also text.It can be recorded and can be stored for future use. For example a message can be stored DVDs and can be used for future use.Powerful impact on people. For example an advertisement on television can have a lasting and powerful impact on people. The disadvantages of electronic media in todays communication campaign areThey are less intimate. For example an e-mail message is not as close as communicating directly. The mechanism of feedback is slow. For example the response to a television advertisement cannot be known quickly. The medium is expensive. For example a computer is expensive to buy.To puzzle out programmes special trainings are required. For example trained people are required for the making of an advertisement which is aired on television. In rural areas the access is limited. For example in many rural areas in many countries the internet is not available so e-mails cannot be used as a medium of communication. They are not permanent. For example and advertisement cannot be aired permanently, they will be taken off air after a considerable time.6. Marketing Communication objectives are derived from marketing objectives. The main objectives of marketing and marketing communication objectives are to increase brand awareness, increase sales, encourage action from the targeted audience, improve customer relations, realise themselves in the industry etc.

Essay --

Another reason why sugar harms the em clay is that a atomic number 20 deficiency leads to osteoporosis. Sugar get out steal calcium from the blood stream however, if there is not enough calcium in the blood stream, the sugar will then pull vital calcium from the bones. The calcium taken directly from the bones causes them to be creaky and fragile, which unmistakeably leads to osteoporosis (((APPLETON, 23))). Osteoporosis is a bone disease that plagues many Americans. The better way to counteract osteoporosis is to drop sugar from the diet completely. Americans on average do not have a proper calcium-phosphorus ratio and sugar entirely creates more havoc for the human body. Because of an imbalance of nutrients, important enzymes of the human body are disrupted. The human body is full of small chemical reactions called enzymes. These enzymes enable cells to lam properly and efficiently. One important role of enzymes is that of metabolism. Metabolism is a digestive process tha t relies on properly functioning enzymes. The enzymes that control metabolism need a proper balance of nutrients in order to function properly. However, the enemy, sugar, once again causes harm. Sugar negates these nutrients, leaving the enzymes weak and ineffective. An increased amount of sugar in the body decreases the effectiveness of enzymes, therefore decreasing metabolism. A decrease in metabolism causes food to be digested and absorbed at a slower rate. A weak metabolism leaves the human weak as well. The enzymes that are responsible for metabolism are negatively affected by sugar. Due to a slowed metabolism, allergies can proceeds if food is not properly digested. The enzymes in the small intestine are greatly affected by sugar. Sugar makes the digestion process slow... ...foreign invader. Common autoimmune diseases are Rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, type one diabetes, and hyperthyroidism, to name a few (((CAMPBELL, PG 184))). These diseases distress all to many Americans because they appear because of an overload of sugar. The hormone gland is greatly inhibited by the increase in sugar. The body regulates the affect of sugar on different minerals by the endocrine system. It is an automatic process that occurs in the body be specialized organs, or glands. Processes such as respiration, heartbeat, digestion and elimination of food, body temperature, and balanced body chemistry rely on properly functioning endocrine glands (((APPLETON, PG. 27))). Without these automatic processes occurring properly, the human body will decay rapidly. Sugar greatly inhibits the endocrine gland, which in turn annihilates the human body.

Behavior Modification Methods in School Essay -- Positive Interdepende

Education in the United States is a continuous source of controversy. How should the generations be taught? This is an extremely important and in knowledge issue that has legion(predicate) levels. Each level has its own disagreements. One particular level of education that has been researched is whether or not behavioral methods are effective exuberant to be used in the schoolroom to improve academic performance. As can be seen in the data included here, there are many forms of positive reinforcement contingencies that can be presented in the classroom. These may include social requites, like acceptance and encouragement from peers, tangible remunerates, like the token economy, or internally motivating honours, like having a sense of self-efficacy and feeling confident and proud of a particular accomplishment. The studies included here investigate cooperative learn strategies and how behavioral methods relate to academic performance that way, the use of rewards for good or i mproved performance, and then finally how the removal of a punishing aspect of the classroom environment, like a teachers criticism can possibly improve academic performance. Cooperative learn is one process that includes behavioral methods. A reward structure is included in cooperative learning technology. Rewards can include grades, teacher approval, or physical rewards. In order for a reward structure to be effective, the rewards must be presented to the student quickly after the desired behavior has occurred. What makes this type of reward structure particular to cooperative learning styles is that rewards are given based on how well a group has learned something as a whole. Each person in the group gets rewarded if and barely if each individual person has learned the material sufficiently. A second facet of cooperative learning includes positive goal interdependence and positive reward interdependence (Mesch, Johnson, & Johnson, 1987). Positive goal interdependence is when st udents perceive that they can achieve their goals if and only if the other students with whom they are cooperatively linked achieve their goals. Whereas, positive reward interdependence exists when each member of a cooperative learning group receives the same reward for successfully completing a joint task (Mesch, Johnson, & Johnson, 1987). Mesch, Johnson, and Johnson (1987) utter that on the positive goal interdependence ... ...76).
